Well, we definitely know now that the sets for the HP movies are not being reused or overly digitally used for the hotly anticipated new series about the teenager wizard.
However, there are reports that Diagon Alley and Gringotts Bank will be remodified using existing sets that are now a huge tourist attraction.

Pre-Production has officially started and what seems to be drone footage shows Harry’s Muggle home being built at the studios.
Some like me are wondering why they need to build another Privet Drive Set, especially those who have read the books have commented that because there are many scenes with the Dursleys house that never made the films, why would this production be any different. After all, fans really can’t wait for the action to start when term begins at Hogwarts. Privet Drive always seems a build-up.
I think it is unnecessary, but perhaps they can adapt Privet Drive to be used in lots of other scenes such as Hogsmeade Village.

The Dursleys have done quite well since the first movie if these houses are indeed their home!!
The footage of the set so far looks like a massive upgrade on the Privet Drive from the movies. Why the Tudor style, perhaps it is for the American market?
Leavesden Studios, where the entire series is being produced is expanding its site to include a school for the young actors and even maybe a Hogwarts and Ministry of Magic?
As interesting as it is to see the drone photos of Privet Drive it could ruin the magic if constant footage is leaked showing all the sets being built.
There should be a drone ban or the magic of JK Rowling that has entertained people all over the world could be diluted.
Lets hope Leavesden Studios finds a way to keep the production under wraps.
