HBO, the producers of the new Harry Potter TV Series have announced who will be playing the three central roles in the iconic magical school adventures that have captured the world.
After auditioning over 30,0000 actors for the roles made famous by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint they have settles for three British newcomers.

Dominic Mclaughlin will play Harry, Alastair Stout the red hair Ron and Arabella Stanton the talented young wizard, Hermoine.

Arabella has had the most experience performing, as she has played Matilda in the Musical version of Roald Dahl’s book in London’s West End.

The three have joined John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Snape, Nick Frost as Hagrid and Paul Whitehouse as Flitch.
HBO have promised a faithful adaptation of J.K Rowlings books and author will act as executive producer to advise and contribute to the massive undertaking of bringing the Potter world to life.

Filming will begin this summer at Warner Bros studios Leavesden, where sets are already in the process of being built.
The makers envisage a 10 year production schedule, so that they can go into as much detail as possible.
For some fans this series has come too soon with the movies still fresh in their minds and the portrayals of the iconic characters set in stone in their minds.
It will be interesting to see how HBO will overcome this. Young Harry Potter aficionados will no doubt embrace the series as their own. While only time will tell if older fans can be won over.
Can’t wait to make up my own mind.
