Since Amy Bradley’s disappearance first came to light, investigators have chased countless leads but lately, it feels like real progress might finally be happening.

For years, the main theory has been that Amy was abducted. Many believe she was taken rather than lost at sea, since she was an excellent swimmer and no remains were ever found. On the night she vanished, a female bartender on the ship reportedly told passengers, “Senorita kidnapped.”
When she said that, security staff apparently told her to “shut the hell up what are you talking about?” After watching the documentary, you really do get the sense that the security team and one of the main staff members were acting very suspicious that night.
The bartender, who spoke very limited English, wasn’t included in the Netflix documentary because investigators didn’t know her identity until recently. Now, she’s come forward and is being interviewed by authorities which could bring valuable new insight into that crucial night.
Another major update involves a suspicious online hit on the website run by Amy’s family a site created in hopes that either Amy herself or someone connected to her disappearance might visit it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, investigators were able to geolocate the activity and trace it back to the IP address of a device on a boat just off the west end of Barbados. The same source also mentioned a new possible sighting of Amy somewhere in the Caribbean.

There’s also talk of new evidence suggesting Amy may have had a child a detail briefly mentioned in the documentary but now reportedly being looked into more closely.
Over the decades, there have been at least half a dozen reported sightings of Amy. While many have led to dead ends, these new developments feel like a positive step forward.
I think investigators really need to dig deeper into that device traced near Barbados and follow up on the new sighting. That feels like where the biggest clues might be hiding.
It also seems like there might be a new investigative team involved, or at least renewed focus since the documentary aired though that hasn’t been officially confirmed. Either way, it finally feels like there’s some good energy around this case again.
After all these years, any new lead brings a bit of hope for Amy’s family. Hopefully, this time, it leads somewhere real.
