I know I am behind on this brilliant Oscar nominated animation, but this might be my favourite cartoon movie of all time. The Wild Robot is written and directed by Chris Sanders. (Lilo and Stitch, Croods and How to Train Your Dragon). It is an outstanding story, that is sentimental and moving without being schmaltzy. …
I just love the quote “Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” This sums up the sentiment and driving force behind this heartfelt remake of the original cartoon featuring a lonely young girl and an outcast alien. Lilo and stitch isn’t as bad as everyone says. The original came out when…
Off West End Award nominated playwright David Shopland has a new play called Cul-de-Sac, showing now at the Omnibus Theatre, Clapham. These shows are an eclectic bunch, but what they all have in common is they have made a huge impact on me. I can rewatch them endlessly without them becoming stale. So, here they are in no particular order OUTNUMBERED This is a British sitcom classic. I loved this show when I was younger, and…
“Do you think I invited you to get revenge, for stealing my life… Do you think I want to make you pay.” I loved the first movie when it came out in 2018, well before I knew about the Blake Lively drama with Justin Baldoni. Another Simple Favour was filmed before the controversy surrounding Blake…
I wanted to start by saying when watching this play, it was unfortunate that I didn’t see Julian Bird who is the writer and star of The Psychiatrist and plays Dr Andrew Faulkner in the key role. A day before press night he sustained an injury, so the producer Alistair Brown stood in for him,…
