For all the people who love a period drama and likes a show that is based on true events just like me, Miss Austen could become a BBC classic. It is an adaptation of Gill Hornby’s 2020 best-selling book of the same name. It might be better than Bridgerton because it just feels more authentic….
Imagine this, the police have just knocked down your door and bursts into your house and your 13-year-old child gets arrested as he has been accused of murdering his classmate Katie the night before. This is the harrowing story of Jamie Miller. The first two episodes immerse us in the procedural details, both detectives DI…
I don’t know what is happening this year, but I seem to watch more TV shows than movies and this is one that you simply cannot miss. What adds to the satisfaction in this series is that the trials are all cold cases that the prosecutors have been able to re-open due to the blend…
Over the Shoulder was delighted and lucky to sit down with film actor, theatre performer and business entrepreneur Charlie Hamblett to discuss his experience in Harlan Coben’s, MISSING YOU Netflix series. We also discussed Charlie’s formative years growing up in the home of Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon and how this led to his career debut, performing on…
“Are we the sum of our worst actions”, is the moral question that this riveting and thought-provoking documentary series examines. You know when you watch a series, quite often you say that the second season isn’t as good as the first, in this case however, I disagree. XO KITTY mark 2 is even better, and I don’t normally say that! XO KITTY is an American/Korean teen drama for all ages. You get to see the…

A quick shoutout to a Netflix show that I watched last night. MISSING YOU, is one of my favourite Harlan Coben’s adaptations, so cleverly done although sometimes a bit predictable. I guess that’s to be expected with so much murder mystery content around. MISSING YOU was better than most. Harlan Coben has agreed a fourteen…

At its core, this series is a slow burner about spy sleeper-cell Helen (Kiera Knightly), a woman who is married to on the rise MP Wallace Web (Andrew Buchan) and trapped in a…
I wasn’t going to watch this production, but I am so glad my mum just put it on randomly and found this gentle but entertaining show. Micheal Schur, one of the writers and producers on this show, is a genius at making the most heartfelt TV shows. It is a very humbling program. Each episode…
